Description

Long time no see, Mr. Star! 8'D
Thank you for coming to our house.
Please do have a cup of tea.

One of my submissions for Artbook Kelir [link]!/group.php?gid=146391165395 :)

The sky was epic phail, the colours didn't blend at all :noes:. I hope the perspective goes well.

By the way, my course in Villa Merah has ended and I'm currently in Cirebon :). Finally, Speedy connection :la:

Well... I have been having a cold since 2 days ago, it's better for me to sleep right now.

Hi there! I'm here to pass on all the fabulous feedback this pieces got at #Traditional-Artists's Critique Night!

I hope this is helpful and you can use it for your future work :)

"Wow, it's so colourful! The comic style and the bright colours make me all happy and it really jumps into your eye. I especially love how you did the bark of the tree - these brilliantly coloured streaks are a wonderful idea and have a wonderful outcome :) The light of the lamp is very well done, and I kinda like the tiles on the red house! Maybe to get even more the effect of perspective you could shade the houses that are farther back stronger. Oh, yes, and that swirly cloud is just awesome :P Overall, a beautiful, easygoing piece with wonderful colours and a cheerful aura!"

"The colors are so bright and cheerful. I love how it looks like it's straight out of a children's book :) I would love to see how the rest of the story goes."

"The way it is as of style, I think "Van Gogh". I love the brightness of the piece and even the little poem in the artist's comment. Very nice very cheery. "

"I love the use of the colors throughout the entire piece. It's not just in one place. It leads the eye through the entire picture and not stuck in just one place. I love that the warm colors are predominantly at the foreground but the artist still uses hints of the cool colors like on the tree trunk.
I couldn't help but notice a McDonald's sign in the background. That's funny. :)"

"I really love the bright colors. It takes a lot for someone to be able to use so many colors without overwhelming the picture and I think that’s been accomplished here. The star at the top grabs the attention the most, as I think it should, to lead our eyes down to the kids.
However, I think more cool colors could’ve been used here to highlight the sitting child. The one standing has the blue shirt and is easy to see, but the sitting one blends in almost a little too much.
Normally, it’s the warm colors that are the highlight, but here the cool colors stand out, which is an interesting switch that I really like. :) I also love how the buildings are done. It reminds me of a storybook.
So, I really like this piece, and my only piece of advice is to use the blue a bit more to help some other things stand out. "
